Pizza lunch before last chance to peruse the Montpellier shops before setting off home.

Sorry, folks , but I've had real problems getting my phone to email this latest WhatsApp chat from Mme Devaux plus photos to my email account so that I can post them on the blog - but here they are - Ed.

Maybe running a bit late ....

.... because of bad traffic.  May broadcast an update after a stop and a bite to eat.

All tired and hungry but the girls still are an absolute pleasure.

On time

So far so good today.

Another very busy day!

Off to Nîmes where we visited the Maison Carrée and saw a film about the town's history. Then we went to the Amphitheatre and had audio guides.  Finished the trip with free time in Nîmes followed by an hour in a traffic jam on the coach.  Last night with families!

Finally we treated the sixth formers to a little cinema outing. We were supposed to have a nice meal but, due to the traffic jam, we were late for the cinema so it was a McDo français, I'm afraid!

Still, the girls were able to order in French and compare their McChickens with the English equivalent.  Amy even tried a salade aux pâtes! The film was extraordinaire and the girls understood everything (La Famille Bélier).

What a pleasure it is to be out and about with SHS girls!

Back home tomorrow, but not before a final 3 hours of intensive learning...

Bon anniversaire, Charlotte!

On a pris le tram pour aller au zoo.

Fun at the zoo.

Bowling

Spot the real window.. It's a trompe l'œil mural.

This is St Roch the leper and patron saint of Montpellier with his dog who brought him food when he got too ill.

And this is LOUIS XIV who loved Montpellier but at some point the people thought it right to reduce the size of his statue fourfold and have him pointing towards the sea rather than the wealth of the town where he used to point! Les Français quand même!

Looks just as sunny as at home today ....

.... but I bet it's warmer!

So impressed by the work the girls are doing in class! Very proud!

Amy giving her presentation on the link between health and new technologies.

Charlotte deep in conversation on her birthday!

Attentive teacher!

Lottie keeping up with the AS students!

These photos are of Year 10 and Year 11 girls presenting their HOMEWORK!  They're working so hard - will need a holiday when they get home!

Change of plan for this afternoon

Zoological Park then bowling at 5pm.

The sun's just too bright!

One of the many charming little streets, with our guide Emanuelle.

Look at the street art!

Done by Montpellier's answer to Banksy... Loads of these bikes have been put up in secret during the night and the mayor has decided that they're quite cool!

Anything Paris can do, Montpellier can do better... (Arc de Triomphe in background)

Sunny aqueduct scene

Everyone's on their way home now.  Tomorrow I'm going to sneak into lessons and take some photos. A demain!
